Default P-trap install issue

I'm installing the drain pipes under the new kitchen sink. I use all ABS
black pipes with an adjustable P-trap. Is that ok if the outgoing part of
the p-trap is perpendicular (right angle) to U? I'm afraid that could likely
cause clog.

Thanks.

John
