DV Nation is importing the popular Color Fusion "ShowerStory"
showerhead. It's embedded LED lights change the color of the water coming out based on the water temperature! From Blue for cold to Red for hot. No batteries, no wiring. Just twist it on the way you would any other showerhead! It's powered by the water running through it. Its a unique item. Check it out at www.dvnation.com. Its at the bottom of the main page. |

Alien technology from the Roswell flying saucer? Piezoelectrics could easily generate enough V to power LEDs using water pressure and a mechanism to pressure-pulse the piezo element. Wiring would still be required, though.(unless you consider printed circuit boards to not be "wiring". -- Jim Yanik jyanik at kua.net |

Kirby vacuum cleaners use this method to power an LED in the powerhead to indicate brush speed. It is just a copper strip contacting a plastic shaft. -- Dennis |
