Default Help with GFI plug and light switch.

I'm trying to install a GFI plug on the same cicuit where my outside
lights are. My outside light's are controlled from an inside switch. I
have three wires going into the GFI plug, Red, White and Black. I have
connected the white and black wires coming from the house to the (Line)
two bottem screws. White to silver screw and black to copper/gold
screw. I then took the White and black wires coming from the outside
lights and connected them on the top (Load) screws. White to silver
screw and black to gold screw. I then connected the Red wire coming
from the house to the red wire coming from the outside lights. I then
tested the GFI plug and it worked, however when I turn the light switch
on the lights don't turn on. I looked inside the light housing and all
the White wires from the light are taped together to the White wires
coming from the GFI plug and the Black wires coming from the light are
taped together to the Red wire coming from the GFI plug. I noticed
that there was one Black wire taped up alone. This Black wire is the
one coming from the GFI plug (Load) screw.. Now do I remove the Black
wire on the GFI plug (Load) and put the Red wires in there?. Can
anyone help... I knew at this .. Thanks.. Carlos

Grab your phone book and look up "electricians". Call one of them
before you are electrocuted or burn your house down. This is a job
for the pros. Homeowners should not touch any wiring unless they are
certified electricians.
