Default GE Profile Dishwasher not cleaning properly

I have a GE Profile Dishwasher, model 8200, thats just over a year old.
Up until recently, it's worked very well. In the last week, I've
noticed dishes, pots, etc start to come out with some food left on. At
first, I thought it must just be from the way it was loaded, ie
something blocking the spray. However, it now is happening
consistently, even when lightly loaded. And the food particles that
are left on aren't really tough stuck on stuff. Some are just loose
food particles, like little pieces of spinach.

I tried removing the lower spray arm as suggested by GE. The screen
underneath is perfectly clean. No signs of blockage there or in any of
the visible passage ways. It drains fine at normal speed, fills fine,
water temp is 125 as it has always been. It's always been quiet,
making more of a waterfall like sound when running and it doesn't sound
any different.

When it's running, if I try to open the door real quick to see what's
going on, the upper and lower spray arms are still spinning, the middle
one appears to have stopped with water running out of it by the time I
get the door open.

Any clues as to what could be wrong, where to look?

Thanks!

Default GE Profile Dishwasher not cleaning properly

On further investigation, I found a website that has some tips on what
to look for. They said to get the dishwasher running, then stop it,
put a glass in the upper tray, restart and run for 30 secs. If the
glass isn't full, either it doesn't have enough water, or the pump is
kaput. Well, in 30 secs, I get maybe an inch, in a min and a half I
get about a half glass. It has enough water, I even tried adding some
more so it was almost overflowing. It's pretty clear now that
inadequate water flow is the problem.

So, unless anyone else has any good ideas, I think it's time to start
tearing it apart. Good news is there appears to be an impeller kit for
$22 available.
