PVC & Cast Iron Waste Line
I have a very small leak in a joint where a PVC waste pipe joins into a cast
iron sewer line. Is there anything like plumber's epoxy which will seal the leak between two dissimilar materials. I appreciate the help. Thanks. rf |

PVC & Cast Iron Waste Line
The two should not make a direct connection, in other words, you
don't glue or weld or screw them together. The proper way to make the connection is with a Fernco connector. These are rubber "sleeves", sometimes with different sized ends to accommodate different types of pipe. These rubber sleeves have band clamps on each end. Once tightened they do not leak.
