Default Bi-Fold Doors

"GeorgeD" wrote in message
om...
I have a closet that has two bi-fold doors on it. We got new carpet
installed in that room and it is higher than the old carpet, so the
doors don't fit anymore.

If I just cut a piece of the bottom, won't the pin for the fixed door
just lower the door until it still rubs against the carpet?

Do I cut off from MOST of the door and leave the locking pin where it
is, so I get a botom profile like this ---------__ (where the pin goes
in the __ area?)

What do I do?

Thanks

the pin has an adjuster nut on it so you can raise and lower it somewhat.
otherwise, you can take up the floor bracket, add a shim under it, and
fasten it down to the floor again.
