Default Looking for a tiny home in rural western USA for up to 10.000 bucks

I looked at real estate pages and my head is exploding over the
$300.000 houses.

Isn't there a little village in rural Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Texas,
California, etc. that offers a little cottage for 10.000?

Certainly. Just look for Ghost Towns.

Or ask one of the Native American groups for permission to move onto the
rez, and get a used trailer like many of them do. You might have to marry an
enrolled tribal member to do that- not sure what the rules are.

(No, I'm no expert- but I have driven through a few of their areas, and
based on what little I saw, I don't begrudge them shearing the white man at
the casinos one little bit. A small enough measure of payback for what their
ancestors went through.)

Forgot what town or state is was in, but it was on TV a few weeks ago where
they were giving off the land for free if you build a house on it and
promise to stay for a X number of years. I've also seen houses well below
$10K in some real estate sections - do a Goggle see if you could find some.
I believe some cities are giving away crack houses or at lease very cheap if
you rehap them.

Uh, if they live on the rez, they don't own the property to sell it. It is
held in trust for them by the Feds, and they can live there, if they so
choose, by virtue of being a recognized member of the tribe with rights to
that reservation. What I was suggesting is you could maybe get permission to
put a trailer on their rez, like if you married a tribal member of
something.
