Default Questions on procedure for thinning exterior house paint

We have hired a painter and he plans to spray the paint on as it's
cheeper for the both of us. He doesn't plan to thin the paint. He's
asking us to purchase twice as much paint than if we had it brushed on.
Is this normal for spraying on paint?

Not sure but call a paint shop. I do know that a sprayer will use
more paint than a brush. If I had to guess, I'd say 50% more... 100%
more sounds like a lot to me. Again go call a paint shop.

Thanks for your response. I now suspect that he was counting on it
ending up to be 2 coats. I plan to offer to buy it as needed as we're
not that far from the paint store.
