Default looking for a table for the couch.

i saw somewhere a beanbag like device that had a hard flat top, ideal
for playing games with someone sitting on the same couch. does anyone
know where i might find something like this?

Look for 'lap desk'. Often sold in the back-to-school aisle, as sonething
college students supposedly like. (I never saw one at school.) Or if you are
handy at sewing, just make one. Buy a wood serving tray at the discount
store, sew up an appropriate sized beanbag, and attach it to the bottom with
some screwed-on sticks of trim. Dry popcorn kernals (unpopped, of course)
make nice light filler.

Try Office Max or Staples. Otherwise www.levenger.com has them.
