De-Load the garble cluster from the Generic TV Service Web Site. Honestly:
Many things may cause this, however without at least the make and model of
the set we are guessing as much as you are.

Perhaps a name change to sci.electronics.repair.psychic.tech is in order.

Roland:
No make or model number, no initial basic troubleshooting results or meter
readings from you, no technical observations or more detailed explainations
of the problem ..... the best advice you can get is to
TAKE your television to a service shop for a proper repair or at the very
least, a repair cost estimate so you can make an intelligent repair decision
with facts instead of Internet or telephone wild ass guesses.
