One quick question before I dig into it. It powers up, but there is no power
to the filaments. Any ideas? Thanks. Mark. |

Does it have audio ? If so check the coil from the horiz driver
transformer to the base of Horiz output xistor (Bad solder connections |

L14101, remove the coil, clean the glue off the board, clean the pads and
legs of the coil, reinsert and resolder. Glue applied at the factory tends to contaminate the solder connections. wrote in message oups.com... Does it have audio ? If so check the coil from the horiz driver transformer to the base of Horiz output xistor (Bad solder connections |

I'd start by resoldering L14401 which links the horiz. drive to the base
of the Horizontal Output transistor Q14401. You may want to desolder it first and raise it off the board abt. 1/16th or 1/8th inch so the glue doesn't rip the lead loose again from thermal expansion.
