Help with DLP Projector
Hi, all. I have a Projectavision DLP projector, model DHT-2. It will not
turn on. After probing around, I've come to the conclusion that the standby voltage isn't there, so it has no way to respond to the "on" button or the remote control. The internal power supplies seem to be working. There's a small standby supply in the docking unit that plugs into the back of the projector, and it's working. It only seems to provide power to a relay, the purpose of which is to refuse to pull in if the lamp cover is open, thereby removing A/C power from the rest of the projector and sparing the life of the poor fool who tried to run it with the cover open. I can't find much information on this projector anywhere. Anybody ever work on one, or know where I can get service data without spending a fortune? If I could just find the errant standby supply, I could probably get this old girl running again. Thanks for any help you can give me. Sincerely, Michael |
