Dell D1226H monitor with streaks
Hi. I'm experiencing grey streaks that extend to the right of text. Anything

Often the ghosting is caused by the electrolytic capacitors on the CRT
neck board going bad or having high internal resistance. I use and ESR meter to check these. The capacitors are usually small ones about 1 Uf at 100 volts and are usually positioned near the video amp IC. If you do not have an ESR meter, you might just want to consider replacing all of them. They are cheap. John |
