Compaq 150FS
Hi,
I have a Comaq 150FS 15" monitor that has just died on me. It was quite happily running at 1024x768 for more than 5 years. Then out of the blue, it lost horizontal sync for less than a second, then popped. I have found the main filter cap has leaked everywhere and a leg has fallen out. 220uF, 400V There is NO life from the monitor AT ALL. No power LED, no HV, no B+. Initially I thought the HOT packed it in. I expceted to open it up and find little bits of transitor all over the inside. However the HOT seems intact. Now I think maybe the power supply has died, due to the bad cap. However this does not explain the loss of H-sync. Does anyone have any better ideas? Also a circuit diagram would be VERY helpful. Thanks in advance -- jmuller |
