Old Sony Walkman Question: Cause of Flutter?
"Nelson" wrote in message ... | OK, so I know it's old technology, but does anyone remember what would | cause flutter (music becomes distorted when moving the Walkman) in one | of these and how to fix it? Inertia of the flywheel. Can't fix it AFAIK. That's why CD players have the delayed audio system. N |

Rotten rubber drive belt (might look fine, isn't). Replace 2. Bad pinch-roller bearing. Lubricate or replace. 3. Bad capstan & flywheel bearing. Lubricat or replace the whole thing...these are not normally replacable (staked to the chassis or molded-in). webpa |
