Default No Sound (JVC Audio Receiver)

I have an old JVC audio receiver that is starting to give me
troubles...

Whenever I turn it on, there is no audio coming from it.
As soon as I switch it to a different radio station, there is
sound. This behavior happens no matter what radio
station is the receiver set when I turn it on.

I have already taken it twice to the repair shop! Any
suggestions as to where the problem could be?

Thanks.

Maybe the VCO needs a slight tweak.

Mark:

VCO = Voltage-Controlled Oscillator
Is this correct?

Yes, that's right. Many times this adjustment drifts slightly over the
course of years, and a slight re-adjustment will fix it. Can't say for sure
if this will help you, however.
