Default Dark image on IBM G54 (IBM m# 6546-6BN)

IBM m# 6546-6BN
SVGA monitor

Failure symptoms:
Image on screen is very dark (brightness and contrast on max posiston)
FBT Samsung M36QAM351X1415

Maybe someone knows how to enter service menu on IBM G54 (6546), haw
to adjust sub brightness.

Thanks

Miki

If the picture tube is a Samsung "Blue Label" tube, it is probably bad.
These tubes do not have a long life.

Try turning the screen control on the high-voltage (flyback) transformer
up a little. This is usually the bottom control on the side of the
flyback transformer (the black transformer with the red wire going to
the top of the picture tube).
