Default JVC AV25590 Remote-Delayed response

Have a JVC AV 25590 TV that, sometimes, has delayed response to certain remote
functions as the set "warms-up". When 1st turned on everything works fine, as
the set remains on, the volume decrease (for example) doesn't respond
immediately. If the button is kept depressed, it will work. After the set was
on for 15 minutes, the button needed to be depressed about 5 seconds. This
increased to 20 seconds after the set was on for 30 minutes. There are 3
buttons which this occurs on, others respond just fine all the time. Sometimes,
all will start to respond normally even if the set remains on. Does anyone
have any suggestions or experience with this? Thanks in advance.

The first thing to try is fresh batteries in the remote. I've seen remotes
that the function buttons had to be pressed 3 or 4 times before it would
work, new batteries fixed them.

I did measure the voltage of the batteries while pressing one of the buttons,
and they were above 1.45 v, which seems adequate. Worth a try, butt.
