Hi!
On a Sanyo HD TV Mdl D32746, If both of the 820 Mf Caps in the power suppply are low 100 Mf , Is that enough to keep the set from having enough brightness, the picture just barely shows. Thanks for any help I can get. Vince |

If they are only down by 100, the ESR probably isn't that bad, although only testing, scoping, or replacing with tell you, and it's probably not your problem. Low brightness can come from anywhere in a modern TV. You could have a bad main, bad TCON, bad backlight inverters, or even a bad LCD screen. Bad caps in the power supply can affect any of these boards, including the backlight inverter. BTW, the model is probably DP32746.... John |
