Default Help on a Midland 12-157 Cassette Deck

Hi everybody,
Just got a Midland 12-157 cassette player/recorder. It's an older
stand alone unit that was supposed to work. Well it kinda works. The
belt is fine. But it has a bunch of other problems. A loud pop
randomly in the left channel. Not sure if it records anything. And
after you turn it on, run it, then turn it off. It will turn on again
but the motor vibrates and doesn't do anything. No clue what the
problem could be so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks a million
Alex
