Hi.
I have a burned out pr4 bulb. I have a 3600 output blue led 3.7v. I got the idea to bust the glass and solder the led in. Yeah, its pretty hard to do. are there any mini connectors I can get to crimp and attach two wires so tiny. Obviously I'm doing this because I'm a hopeless old geek, not to save money or have a magically wonderful flashlight when I'm done. Can someone recommend a way to attach the led to the old socket so I can put it back into the orginal flashlight? thanks for your kindess and ideas |

You've overlooked a number of things --mainly how to control the current in the LED. Here's a guy who has thought through the associated issues: http://www.google.com/search?q=cache...ht.a.white.LED |

The LED has to be properly biased with the proper value of series resistor
its specs. Go to a hardware centre, and buy a replacement LED for flashlights. You have to know the bulb type and the number of batteries and volts it uses. -- JANA _____ "Jeff Kish" wrote in message ... Hi. I have a burned out pr4 bulb. I have a 3600 output blue led 3.7v. It is just a little project that will force me to learn a little about something I know little about. regards |
