Default Odd RCA problem.

Model # 32F530T Chassis # ATC113CD4, unit was dead, replaced
horizontal output, & flyback.
Generic flyback, as original is NLA. Part # 261163. Now set has a tiny
"tear" about one third of the the way down the picture going right
accross the screen. Words are tearing slightly throughout the pix.
Otherwise the pix is fine. Almost like bad filtering, or poor
horizontal drive. No overheating, waveform looks ok. Is the cheapy
flyback causing this? Customer said pix was fine before it blew up.
Anyone see this before? It's not an ASTI, just Global junk part. Dani.

I think you have answered your own question...

My suggestions for replacing flybacks:

1. use only the original if it is available (except perhaps in the case of
some of the RCA crap out there)
2. use HR replacements if they are available and the original is not
3. use Asti if the HR is not available
4. if neither of the above are available buy only from sources that are
reputable and will offer a warranty on the part (Acme is a good example)
5. tell the client up front that replacements are subject to all kinds of
problems and it is their risk if they want you to use a sub for the
original. No refunds beyond what the vendor will provide
6. verify with other techs that the parts you are considering using for subs
work in the particualr set

That said, there is no HR replacement for this one. The Asti number is
2500, IIRC. I have one on order that should be here today for this or a
similar model. I will let you know how it works.

Default Odd RCA problem.

Hi Dani, I had some similar problem but with a different model, I am
not an expert like yourself so I don't want to make any wrong
suggestion. I am just going to refer you to the place where I found my
solution. Its a tech support site with live chat support that you can
use for free. They have large range of products I am sure you will
find some answers for what you are looking for.

Here is the page for your TV:

I recommend using the live chat!

Good luck
