"Meat Plow" wrote in message news ![]() Who would have thought this one up? http://youtube.com/watch?v=HpovwbPGEoo Ruben I assume. It's entertaining though ! Talking of 'scopes, finally found 5 minutes today to get the covers off my 100 meg Hitachi that went wrong last week. You know nothing's built to last these days - it's only been 20 years since I "borrowed" it off the last company I workd for, and it's not as if it's on any more than 350 days a year, or 16 hours a day ... Anyways, my trusty Bob Parker ESR meter quickly pointed me at a 2200uF cap on the -12v rail. Completely open. It's amazing at how far electrolytics have come on. The replacement was about half the size or less than the original, and was a better temp rated 105 deg over the original 85 deg. Arfa |
