Default Question regarding EIP 545 & 548 frequency counters

I own an EIP 545 frequency counter that is minus the GPIB controller.
Is the GPIB controller from a model 548 or 578 counter compatible?
I have access to a surplus 548 or 578 and wanted to use one or the
other. Anyone have any idea?

Thanks-
Jim
