My Panasonic tv ctf-1011 suddenly stopped working. No sound, nothing
visible on the picture tube. BUT after power switch is off for about a half minute and then turned on, for about a quarter or a half second the channel selector lights up and there is a hissing sound from the speaker. Then it goes dead again. The fuse is ok, and when the power switch is on, there is 180 volts across what I believe is the power supply filter capacitor and at various other places. This voltage is present even tho there is no sound and no channel selector light and nothing on the picture tube. I don't see any obviously burnt components. And I don't have a circuit diagram or any other service literature. Can anyone help me fix it? Mel Levine |
