Default Quasar-Panasonic TV question

I would like to know if there is another opinion ...
I have a 32" Quasar and the sides of the picture are bowed in at the
corners. My shop says that there is nothing that can be done, as they
believe the tube is the problem. ALTHOUGH, this problem didn't exist until
they replaced a module. They are saying that I just did not notice the
problem before. I question that, as I am typically a very observant person
and am very picky about colors and screen quality.

Is the shop right? or are they just trying to get out of doing more work?

Thanks,
JD

PS: I don't have the chassis model right now, but I think it's a CT3232 ...
not sure though.

Geometry problems normally will not be caused by the CRT, have the shop
repair the deflection and PCC circuits.

I agree with Art but to add, Matshu****a doesn't make modular tv's so, I'm not sure what module they claim to have changed. What was the original symptom of the set? If it was dead, sounds like they may have repaired the horizontal sweep and either didn't notice the pincushion problem or, didn't feel like bothering with it. Either way, they owe you a fix if it's still under their warranty.

Find a repair shop, that at least is known to be honest! I wouldn't
give them a ten dollar toaster...if they say things like that! They
can't be a repair shop that's been open for very long...no way!!
Do as the other gentleman said. Dani.
