Sony KV-36XBR400 - no picture but excellent sound
Hello Folks,
My Sony KV-36XBR400 has started showing these symptoms for about 3 weeks now. It is hard to turn it on. The unit does not show video while audio is just fine. Sometime after trying for a few minutes the video shows up. Since yesterday it has failed to show video at all. All this time audio comes on just fine. Somebody told me that there is some issue with the D Board on this unit. This unit was purchased for $2500 in 2001. It was the top of the line unit back then. I am frustrated by the fact that a TV this expensive is un-usable now while my 15 year old 25inch panasonic still works very well. (I paid $425 for the panasonic). Do any of you guys/gals out there have any luck fixing a similar problem ? |

The symptom may be related to the crt, hv, or other problems within the set.
May need to do abit more diligent diagnostics on the set and post your findings. Or have it looked at by a tech. "asim" wrote in message ups.com... No luck, just takes doing one's homework, having all the training and
service literature and good troubleshooting skills. Get it to someone who does a lot of Sony. Lots of things to look for in that beast. Leonard "asim" wrote in message ups.com... Leonard:
I agree with you. Usually good "luck" favors the well prepared and very well practiced. Notice how "lucky" guys like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicholas are when they hit the golf ball. electricitym .. .. .. .. |
