Samsung DVD-709 disc speed
Hi all,
I have a Samsung dvd model DVD 709/XSA DVD will play although it seems to have a jump or pause in the picture/sound every few seconds This coincides with the servo motor disc speed slowing down, i can hear the motor revs change as if it gets to correct speed then slows down and repeats this over/over Anyone with any info would be appreciated Are these motors interchangable between different DVD players ( not same make ) thank you |

It might be something simple like dirty/scratched DVDs' or a very dirty lens on the laser. |

Yes seems to be all , have tried 6 different dvd`s
1st dvd was a brand new one Have cleaned lens, and tried more dvds but still does the same Seems as though the motor or speed is ramping up and down and not holding if you like at the top speed "MC" wrote in message ... A lump of dust or dry grease on one of the gears that moves the laser across the disc could have that effect. |
