Default sony hcd-d117

cd plays for approx 20 sec then stops and cannot eject cd until power is
switched off and then switched on again any help me with this problem

First check that the laser sled is totally free to move. 20 secs is about
the time that a disc will play as a result of ' lens bend ' tracking, before
the sled absolutely MUST move on ( about every 4 secs is how often it would
LIKE to move on ).

If the sled does not move on, the tracking servo will lose lock. This may
result in the disc spinning out of control, as spindle lock servo data is
lost, which will often confuse the system control micro, locking out other
functions such as drawer opening. Make sure that the lens is clean also.
