My Phillips VCR won't eject. I have a tape loaded and now its stuck in
there. Otherwise, it functions fine, can play and record. When I press the eject button (either on the set or the remote) the unit tries to eject, but fails and goes into standby. Any ideas what can be wrong? The Phillips service centre here is in another town and opens only during office hours and I do not want to take a day off to send it for repairs and another day to collect it. The shop I bought it from way back in 1997 no longer exists. Hopefully, it's something I can deal with myself. I'm hoping to get a couple more years life from it before moving on to DVD recorders. Benn. |
