27" JVC Model AV-27920
I've got a 27" JVC TV. The TV works ok, but there is about an inch of
space on the left hand side of the screen that does not display the picture. It looks like the screen has moved slightly to the right. Does anyone have any ideas where the problem might be? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Travis |

Could be a fault developing, or it could just need adjusting. the control will labeled h-phase, or h position (or have a picture of a square overlapping the side of another square) and if you're lucky it'll be accessible from outside the TV - possibly using a philips head screw-driver in the apropriattely labeled hole.. Since that set is completely digitally controlled for all adjustments,
it is highly unlikely any adjustment is going to fix the problem. You have a parts failure that needs to be repaired. Could be in either the h-deflection or video h-phase circuit. Although possible, the eeprom could have become corrupted, in which case the full chassis alignment will need performed after replacement per the service manual. Time to take it into a JVC experienced shop that has the service manual and equipment on hand in order to complete a diagnosis and repair. |
