Wanted: Suggestions for a really obnoxious sound maker...

(1) When connected to a phone line

(2) My thoughts run simply to a multivibrator

But I don't know what would be gruesome to hear ;-)

Not what you want, but the sound of a petrol driven leaf blower,

In the 80's there was a novelty record called "Captain Beaky" - people used
to play it at parties when they want everyone to leave.

I have been known to put the '...number you have reached, is not a working

It works well at causing people to disconnect.

Want is?

It's just "wants," no apostrophe.

This is particularly egregious, because it breaks up a word that has nothing
to do with possessives OR contractions.

Hope This Helps!

Well, you're speaking like someone who has a connection to reality.

In addition, you apparently believe what's said should have rational
meaning, at least when supposedly trying to convey what are presumed
to be, by the nature of the topic, rational thoughts.

However, I don't think those assumptions apply to Barack Obama who, it
seems clear, will say virtually anything that 'sounds good'. It's the
'sound' of the thing that matters and not whether there's any logic or
truth to it, aka a connection to reality.

You imagine he doesn't listen to what he says because you expect
sense, and what he says isn't. I argue he knows exactly what he's
saying and that 'making sense' simply isn't a part of the purpose.

I think he is just repeating what the voices in his head say.

What's the point of running for re-election when your a known loser?

That question hardly makes sense because he won the first time around.

This time around, the MSM can't ignore it.

No offense intended but you're dreaming.

Mark my words, they will gush just like last time and laud what they
will, no doubt, call his nimble adeptness in handling the worst
circumstances any President has had to deal with since FDR and never
mind that a sane person would be hard pressed to find a more
destructive set of policies.

A lot of people that fell for it once are having buyer's remorse, and
the novelty of electing an oddball canidate is gone. They seen him for
the bumbler that he is, and realized that there is nothing there but an
empty suit & a Teleprompter.

It would be one thing if he actually had an idea on how technology
could improve function and efficiency but this shows you his level of
'intellect', he want's "fancy buttons and stuff."

He has trouble with his telepromter, and they are very old
technology.

I don' think he cares. His ego wants 'cool stuff'.

What's the point of being President if you can't pontificate, order
people around, and have the coolest stuff?

A lot of people

Well, you pulled a switchero. The topic was the "MSM" and not "a lot
of people.'

The MSM will no more abandon 'their guy' than the RNC would abandon
theirs.

No matter. It will be less effective, since they have been screaming
WOLF! for far too long. Just like the fearmongers at the local TV
stations ranting about another year of named tropical storms, without
mentioning that the number is lower than the year before, and how few
made landfall compared to years past.

Up to a point I tend to agree but also think you underestimate the
opposition, the ability of people to delude themselves, and the
ability of the GOP to field untenable candidates.

It is, for example, not terribly difficult for some people to delude
themselves with the argument, well, he needed some OJT but now he's
got OJT.

It might be fun hearing the 'vote for change' candidate argue against
'voting for change' although I have no doubt he'll argue that the
'change' isn't finished yet so he's still the 'change' guy while the
other is a 'going back to the dark ages' candidate.

Which gets to the last point, I think you may underestimate the
effectiveness of the left's incessant fear mongering and demonization
tactics.

They will be less effective on those who realized the were screwed by
their fantasy candidate.

Rank amateur! Use a clip from one of Obama's speeches.

That will only freak out people who have some sort of connection to
reality.

The rest don't matter, do they?

Well, Seeing as how one of them is President...

It's obvious that he doesn't listen to what he says...

That's an excuse I'm not willing to allow him.

Me either, but he still has the 'football'.

That's something only our allies need worry about.

Are you sure? Which Allies?

Well, from Israel, to the new democracies in Eastern Europe, to NATO
they're mostly asking "where'd ya go?"

His allies are the ones he went to and kissed their asses on camera.
He's done his best to **** off our real allies.

Well, he may think they're 'his allies' but ass kissing never earned
the respect of anyone.

Especially voters.

I've been wondering for 30 years just exactly when that would happen
but it hasn't yet. Witness Pelosi and Reed's recent re-election.

OTOH, look at the diehard liberal areas that went conservative in the
last elections.

Or a Larkin rant... that ought to boor (spelling intentional :-)
people to death.

I don't know how you're going to remove liberals, who think ass

Stop their cheese checks and let them starve to death.
