Default Generic E-mail Providers for Cell-Phone Use

Looking at adding E-mail to my cell-phone (Verizon).

Unfortunately my only choices of "providers" are...

AOL, AIM, Windows Live Mail, and Yahoo E-mail services.

I will actually only use the chosen provider as a relay.

Anyone have experiences/recommendations for "best" ?:-)

Thanks!

Hi Jim,

with Verizon can't you just buy a data plan and then access any email
account?

Yahoo basic does not seem tohave forwarding. Maybe you have the Yahoo
enahnced? I've used gmail as a relay before. AIM and Live I have not
tried.

Correct - yahoo Basic (free) does not allow pop3 or forwarding - webmail
only.
Yahoo enhanced (subscription) Does allow the above.

I do remember reading about a proxy that would allow pop3 or forwarding.
Can't quite remember it now but you can google for it if you're interested.
