Default block plane sharpening

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone does the back bevel trick on their
block plane blades. Leonard Lee suggests three configurations or
primary/back bevel: 20/5, 15/10, and 15/5 degrees. How does it work?
Well? Any other good combinations?

Thanks,
Peter
