Default Hitachi C8FB2 8-1/2" Sliding Compound Miter Saw Brake

I just purchased a used Hitachi C8FB2 8-1/2" Sliding Compound Miter
Saw. The saw works fine but the electronic brake does not apeear to
be functional. How many seconds should a working electronic brake
take to stop the spinning blade?
