Default Trimming iron-on edging for melamine MDF ??

Could I please have suggestions for trimming the iron-on edging tape for
melamine coated MDF. I have been using a snap off cutting knife by hand.
This works well enough but is far to slow. I was thinking of buying a
Makita laminate trimmer. Any recommendations out there?

I have Makita laminate trimmer. Too slow and messy. Use Stanley scraper tool, with trimming blades. Hold flat on face of board overlapping the edge of the iron on edging at about 20-30 degrees and push along edge. it is fast and neat. You can lightly sand edge with 120+ grit sand paper if you wish but not necessary.
