I just flood the zone with mechanical pencils. There's at least one

If I have one pencil, I can keep track of it for weeks. If I have a
dozen, I'll lose 11 of them in a week.

Oh, absolutely! ...but I'd still have the one I needed. ;-)

BTW, I must have a dozen-dozen laying around the shop, somewhere. I
have at least two dozen in my office at work, and it's only 8'x8'.
When I say "flood the zone", I do mean it. ;-)

Recognizing this problem. One of the first things I did after I copied
Swingman's workbench design, was to put a "pencil cup" on the corner of it.
As it's been knocked over a couple of times, I will advise that this is
not the best place for it.

How about appropriate sized holes, drilled in the posts at 30degrees
from vertical? It doesn't work so well on my saw table, though. ;-)

How's your Unisaur coming?

I have been asking myself the same thing. It's almost thawed out! : )

LOL! It's been 70F here the last couple of days. We went up to the
Atlanta woodworking show (and the toy stores) yesterday with the top
down on the 'stang. ;-).

Before anyone tells me how dangerous convertibles are, I already know
and don't care. ...and no, I couldn't afford the TopStop. ;-)

I don't know how you guys with disorganized shops do it.
I can't.

I put down an inspection mirror yesterday, I can't find it today, while
re-doing the dust collector, I need to look in, the baffle is not
working as well as I hoped, so I need to make a neutral vane, and I need
to see the cone's fit so I can make the vane fit well.

Damn I can't find the inspection mirror... It's so F'ng frustrating
putting something down and not being able to find it... a few hours now..

And that's why I have at least two of everything......
