Default A Good Day

Didn't get squat done for myself but still feel good. One of my
longtime, 30 years, neighbors had multiple strokes. We had a work
party for him today. Must have been 8 people who showed up. Wasn't
expecting that many. He's a great guy and tied into the Lakota
community. He's been educating youths his entire life and mentored
many. Got home from that and as I'm starting to unload the backhoe my
93 year old mother calls. She's trying to rebuild her toilet. Of
course as she calls I'm peeing into the bushes. Try explaining that
as a reason you have to get off the phone. So I drove 30 miles and
fixed her problems. Nicely I was rewarded with a loaf of blueberry
bread. If you haven't had it eat your hearts out. LOL

Huh. She makes me a blueberry loaf twice a week.

(Good on you, Sir).

Blueberry bread sounds delicious. Aren't Moms great! And thank goodness for broken toilets, too.

Saturday morning, shortly after posting my scrap bin lumber, for free, on Craigslist, someone came by to get it.... a truck load. Glad it went to someone, who makes bird houses, picture frames, and other small projects, rather than tossing it.

That's cool Sonny it feels good to do the right thing. I have bunch
of old back country ski gear that I can't use since my accident and I
hope to find someone that will appreciate it, there are a couple pairs
of classic telemark skis. Year before last when I tried to see if I
could still ski my buddy and I got some comments on our 1980's
telemark gear. Hell it worked for us.

Try talking to Goodwill.

They could display the stuff properly, someone who appreciates the
stuff
would get it and you get a write off in the process.
