Default Fireplace.

Hi,

I'm looking to purchace a fireplace (Zero clearance).

In Canada, where in the winter it reaches -25°C

A BIS Ultra gives 50 000BTU/h

A Opel 2000 Gives 70 000BTU/h

Selkirk HE40 50 000BTU/h

Regency Fire, 70 000

Any comments on those fireplaces appreciated.

Default Fireplace.

You say "gives" but usually those figures are the BTU of the gas they
consume. Look in the back of the brochures at the efficiency numbers and
make sure they are okay. Get a direct vent model. I think they are all
now anyway.
