Laminated Lumber
Just had the rerun of NYW where they built shop accessories using
commercial laminated lumber. SFWIW, you make a lot of these laminations building a boat. A 4x8 sheet of 12mm, 4 ply, CDX is your friend. Fill any surface voids proud with epoxy fairing putty, then sand flush when cured. Use a 2" x 2" x 1/8" x 96" aluminum angle as a straight edge that the CDX pieces get clamped to while the glue (TiteBond II) cures. Cut CDX proud by 1/4"-1/2", then trim assembly to size when cured. Have fun. Lew |
