16" electric chain saw: Makita UC4000 or UC4030A vs. Milwaukee 6215
The old 16" Makita UC4000 has great reviews on Amazon.com but couldn't find
any review on the new UC4030A. The oil on the UC4000 reservoir is small and Milwaukee 6215 has good reviews but uses a special chain. What would do you think is the better one between the Milwaukee 6215, Makita UC4000 or the new UC4030A in terms or reliability and power? Why do big box stores don't carry good quailty electric chain saws? All I could find are so-so electric chain saws, many with non metal gears that will be stripped in time. |

Because thats what the average DIYer wants. If you want a decent chain saw go to a farm store or good hardware store and pick up a sthil or even a upper end polun(sp) etc. Expect to pay a couple of hundred bucks+ but you will get a good saw. |
