Not exactly S.England but close (Suffolk), but they do seem to know what they're talking about:

Their catalogue has lots of good information about veneers & veneering techniques. It's available
as a scanned version online, but unfortunately it is difficult to navigate. However, there's so
much good stuff in it that I would still recommend a browse if you can't get them to send you the
printed catalogue.
