Hi,

just picked up an old JH Noble back saw. Its 12" by 2.5" and 9pp1. On
the saw it says J.H.Nobel no. 1.

I'm looking for info on this saw. Such as when it was made, purpose
etc.

There are a lot of handsaw guys who hang out in the handtools section at
www.woodnet.com. Maybe it's a .org.

But they seriously know their stuff on old saws.
