Left for a while because of the junk(sh-t) being posted....it's worse.(spam
and the maple idiot)
It seems to be getting out of hand.
Even blocking sender doesn't help because they change there address.
I would love to send them a nice little present that would mess up there
computers for a while...oh well just wishful thinking lol

Yeah, bummer.

The USENET has a large amount of spam coming through Google these
days, from all over the world (think globalism). You can see that if
you view header information.

Filtering out all posts from Google would remove 90% of the spam and a
some regular posters.

A very (and maybe the only) useful filter is Ignore Subthread (to
ignore a thread branch). You can use the same filter to ignore a whole
thread or ignore any branch in a thread. I purchased Agent 4 but
haven't used it yet because I like Xnews so much. Agent is supposed to
have Ignore Subthread. Other readers do too I think. Used to be AOL
users would mess up that filter but they aren't allowed to post
through AOL anymore so that's no problem. It works for both content
and author filtering.

Good luck and have fun.

Unfortunately this is the world we live in. I consider your post some what
of a crap/junkish post also.

Search Google Groups for the various previous discussions here on using
NewsProxy (aka Nfilter) to remove most of the junk. And take a look at my sig
(below) for instructions on how to get a copy.

I haven't updated the filters (yet) to remove the 'maple story' idiots, but
that's coming soon. I'll post a notice when that's available.

I'd be happy just to send them a box that leaked (courtesy of the
neighbors dog).
