Default recommendation for face shield

consider the airmate - the 3-M helmet that has a hepa filter - since it's
also a ANSI rated hard hat, it offers a lot of proection the face shield
only items don't - it's pricy ($600 or so) but personally I think my lungs
and head are worth more than that (to me, anyway ) envirosafety has them
on their web site

I use the Racal Airlite. It was about $160 when I bought it several
years ago. I made a belt battery pack that uses D cells, so I can
charge the on-board battery and still continue turning. I've been
pleased with the unit.

Following closely on the heels of a recent thread about safety equipment,
I'm looking for a *good* face shield for use while turning and operating
machinery. Something that will fit well and not be too close to the end

of
my nose. I figure if I can fill my shop with expensive tools, the least

I
can do is buy the best safety equipment I can find and use that to

protect
my eyes and ears. I have an excellent chainsaw helmet (Peltor) but the

face
screen isn't what I want to use.
