Default Green Bay Woodworking show

Dammit.

Last year when I found that there were going to be two woodworking shows in
Wisconsin this month, I checked them both out and decided since I'd never
been to a Wood Works event, http://woodworksevents.com/ , and it looked
like they had a few more vendors and some of the seminars looked
interesting, I figured I'd drive from Madison to Green Bay that weekend.
Long drive, but not horrible. That was November, maybe early December. Then
I realize it's February already so I go make sure of the date.

And they cancelled.

Now all that's left is the Milwaukee show. On the plus side, I can't be
certain but it sure looks like they've got a few more vendors now.

I can't help thinking there's a little more to the story behind that
cancellation. If you've really got that many vendors and everything's set
up, having one guy go down for eye surgery, no matter how much of a player
he is, doesn't seem like it would sink the whole ship.

Still worth the drive to go to the Woodworker's Depot. I get my annual trip
down there next month before my birthday.

Take money, leave the wife.

So am I the only one out here that makes out BETTER at these shows by
BRINGING my wife?

Ialmost always end up with more booty if I bring her to Woodcraft or
whereever it is that I'm buying.

Neeeeevermind... G

Thanks, it _had_ to be said.

I turn the wife loose at the mall - not the casino - and get more time to
browse. If I have a couple things in mind, I take her along because her
impatience to leave leads her to the same sort of "great, lets get it (and
go, implied)," that I utter at the women's shops.

On the subject above, however, there is a Victoria's Secret at Port Plaza,
you know. Something for both.
