My friend made this trestle table from plans contained in Fine
Woodworking Magazine. He thinks he loaned the issue and it was never
returned. I have 173 of the 181 issues and I have searched the on-line
index and can not find it.

Here is a photo of the table (nice work eh?)

Can anyone help? He thinks it was from an issue from the last 3-5 years.

Mark I have taken FWW since it's inception and never recall seeing this
table . perhaps it was featured in another publication...

it or improvise in order to build it. Mark, maybe your friend used the
simple plans (Roy's link) and improvised or improved on the original

Mark, as good a job as your friend did on his table (first link), I
highly suspect there may be a good possibility he may have improvised
or improved upon the original plan (link two). It is not uncommon to
find defects, poor design, poor esthetics or other misnomers in some
plans, which can easily be modified or improved upon by a good
woodworker.

You might be right. Actually it is my friend who wants to make another
table. (He gave the one in the link to his daughter.) He loaned the
magazine to a friend who wanted to make one himself and it was lost.

It either that or since none of the FWW magazine readed recognize it, I
assume he got it in another magazine.

There is a close match to this table in the book "Shaker Style Wood
Projects" by Robert Sonday (Pub: Sterling) ISBN 0-8069-1386-X (paper) or
0-8069-1381-9 (hardback).
