Unfortunately, in this instance the camera was on a tripod.

My concern is that the autofocus may be out of sorts.


Grease from fingers is the usual culprit.

Very carefully and gently clean the lens and all the other "windows" on the
front of the camera.
Do not use paper or tissue, unless it is lens cleaner paper. I use a rag
that is very soft cotton.

I use windex first to cut the grease then distilled water or rubbing alcohol
to rinse.
