Default LDD Question

I have used LDD several times and have had good success. Several questions:
1) How long is a batch of LDD good for? 2) Do you have to add water to the
mix to offset evaporation. I live in a dry climate and often the humidity
is in the single digits.3) Will contaminates from the wood in the used
solution affect the time the wood must stay in the solution? 4) Is there a
time limit on how long a piece can stay in the solution?
Thanks
Dennis
