U-Tube Inspiration
Like everyone else here, I like free stuff. Until recently, I thought u-tube
was for the kids I taught at Western Kentucky University. Never one to hide the fact that he likes wood turning, I've shared with my students my hobby and they in turn have shown me some of the gems of knowledge available for free on the web. If you've got a fast enought connection (dialup would be horrible), there are videos of other turners all over the web. I've visited Darrell's and Steve's sites numerous times and viewed all of their videos seeking inspiration for something new to do. Sadly, until they add more or I break down and buy some videos, I thought I was going to be out of luck. That is until my students introduced me to u-tube. Hey, I've even seen some of Darrel's stuff on there (stuff I don't think I saw on his site). Just thought I mention this to share. Oh, and thanks to those of you who freely share the knowledge with those of us who are too cheap.....err, frugile to pay for it. Thanks, JD |
